Four years ago I drove to San Vincenzo for the same event, which was then known as Tutti pazzi per la palamita. It was the right chance to rediscover this Tuscan coastal town and to meet for the first time Deborah Corsi, a chef which is for me an example of elegance and dedication. Laughter and tears marked the talk. We laughed lightheartedly about fun stories on the people we met in the process of writing the book, then the tears came. They were grateful tears of surprise.

I am going to try to stay calm while writing this review. I have waited 4 days to write it. We arrived in San Vincenzo and were recommended to Hire Beds from this beach with restaurant as I had specifically asked to be recommended the nearest beach with a good lunch menu to our location. We had provisionally booked two umbrellas and 4 beds for 3 days that was going to be costing us in excess of Euros for the 3 days. We arrived around lunchtime on the first day and asked for Lunch but we also asked to be shown to the beds so that we could drop off our towels etc, I was completely shocked to find that the beds were directly in front of the beach with the sea that was disgustingly dirty!

Great friendly attentive professional service, wonderful location right on the waterfront, beautifully designed and furnished restaurant but The original unique recipes are beautiful and taste like nothing else. This place deserves top ratings! We had some of the best fish here. We travel a lot and it was one of the top fish restaurant in the world. Delicately prepared.

Amazing place. Sat above the beach with terrace looking out to the sea and evening sunsets. Food was so good we came back 2 hours from Greve in Chianti to San Vincenzo for it. Excellent food for a honest price at a great seaside location. Very good and friendly service. Yes, it is good and yet we left with a funny feeling. We felt treated as tourists, courteously, but maybe not taken quite seriously.

We all have been here before and are returning due the food , atmosphere, view and warmth of staff and owner. Go and enjoy a fabulous meal. In our group of four three of us order the squid ink pasta. The forth ordered pasta with chopped clam and shrimp. The pictures speak for themselves. The locations is right on the beach, sunset is unforgettable! The place is casual enough to feel comfortable in jeans

Sometimes an amazing opportunity pops up, offered to you unexpectedly, like a chef offering to talk to you about local fish and its preparation on his boat rather than in the kitchen. On the way out of the port, a returning fisherman shouts out to Fulvietto that there was a school of horse mackerel at 32 meters depth. As the shore get smaller and smaller and the colour of the sea gets inkier, Fulvietto spots the school of mackerel at just 25 meters depth and turns off the engine. The sound of the sea lapping around us engulfs all other sounds. Lorenzo takes a dip or two, jumping straight off the boat. In the meantime, Fulvietto gets his fishing line set up and we slowly chase the fish until we bring in a few lovely, shimmering, shiny mackerel — soon to become our antipasto.
